DIY: how to make a throw pillow case

Hi everyone!

I bought a throw  pillow from my ever  beloved thrift store and got it for 1sgd. i dressed it with pink stripes envelope style casing. So, here are the procedures….

measure fabric. for the front give at least 1″ for the seam  all sides.  the back side should be longer than the front for overlaping and don’t forget  the seam allowance

the shorter one is the front and the longer one is the back

let us work on the back side first. fold and  cut it in half.

the back side after  cutting it in half

sew the edge where the overlapping would be

i just fold the edge about half an inch and sew it using straight stitch

this is how it looks

get the front side fabric. lay the right side then put on top  the back  fabric and lay the right side down. so the right side of both fabric should meet.

pin to secure its place

sew all 4  sides

grab the inside  and turn it over

this is how it looks

put the throw pillow

this is how the back side looked like

I hope i explain it clearly. i would love to  hear  your thoughts, please drop a note.

thanks for reading
