Kitchen Make-Over Series Part V: Stove Top

Hi Everyone!

Here is the before picture of our Stove top. It had a series of updating but this is not how I wanted it to look like. The gray part are aluminum paper and those stripes behind the stove are kitchen panels from Ikea. This is an eye sore in our kitchen and I have to do something about it. Since, we are on a tight budget, I make do of what we currently have at home.

The paint that I used here are left-overs from the previous projects. Now, the space looks bigger. The lights were put away for a long time, now it has a place to shine. Good thing it still works. I hand painted the zebra mirror. Since the Stove top is small, I wanted to make it look bigger thus the mirror. This is the mirror from our bedroom which has no use because we have a glass door mirror inside. The Ikea stove guard also had a paint job.

Practically, I did not buy new things in this project. So, here is the fun part – After pictures.

Wow, I’ve never seen anything like this! It looks very unique and glamorous! BTW, what’s with the mirror? Why did you put it near your stove? Just curious. ;)

hi nohemi! thanks for stopping by;) Actually, i put the mirror to open up our small kitchen space a bit and then it helped me see through the food esp. when i am frying while i guard my front with the pan cover. everytime i cook or fry something i just put aluminum stove top cover to prevent the oil going through the mirror.
