5 Benefits of Guest Posting

I hope everyone is having a great day. I am going to share about the benefits of guest posting. So far, I guest posted to 2 lovely bloggers ( Karen from The Feral Turtle and Kate from Chic on a Shoestring Decorating).  It was an awesome experience. Did I get a visit from their readers? A definite YES.

I know how hard it is to let go of a post that you have worked on so hard. Guest blogging is one of the best ways to help your blog grow. Don’t you want what’s best for your blog?

5 Benefits of Guest Posting

     1. Increase Back Links* which is great for SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

After reading some articles about Back Links*, here’s what I’ve learned:
  • More Back Links* would result to higher PageRank**. Thus, more visibility in search results.
  • Building quality links make it faster for Search Engine to index your site. You can do this by posting quality content.

*Backlinks are links that you’ve left on a website or web page that you have guest posted.

**PageRank is Google’s system for ranking web pages. A page with a higher PageRank is deemed more important and is more likely to be listed above a page with a lower PageRank. (source)

2. Promotes your site to a wider audience.

    3. Increases blog traffic and followers.
4. Develop good relationships with other blog owners where you have guest posted.
5. Establish Authority.

Imagine if you are attending a conference, Google hang-out or a webinar – what comes to your mind about guest speakers? We normally value them as somebody who is knowledgeable of their industry, right? By guest posting you are sharing your ideas and knowledge that are useful to readers. Readers will see you as someone who can help them. You will be a go-to person. This takes time though as you are building your reputation in your niche So, go out there and guest post to other blogs (wink). In line with this post, I am looking for interested bloggers to guest post here. We will be going back to my hometown – Cebu, Philippines for a very long vacation. So, I won’t be with you for a week or 2. Guest post will start on April 23. Please put ‘GUEST POST’ as email subject. If you are a newbie blogger, this is your chance to grow your blog. You can write anything about DIY, craft, sewing, tutorials, cooking and baking. Please feel free to submit your post. Email me at do8urself@gmail.com for more details.

    Hey Judy!

Glad you had some good success with Guest Posting!

Guest Posting is on the list of a lot of marketers in 2013 because it is so effective!

We encourage our students to use it as one of their primary strategies for building relationships and getting back-links.

It serves so many purposes, that I can’t imagine why everyone isn’t doing it.

I think the biggest challenge for people is their fear of rejection, but with the help of a mentor and a little practice, they can further develop their writing skills and pitch, and be on their way to joining the marketing legends of today!
