Guest Post: Chocolate Crinkles

Friends,

This is my guest post at This Silly Girl’s Life. Now, I am sharing it with all of you.
I am going to share one of our family’s favorite dessert – Choco Crinkles. I know this is a very popular cookie in the whole wide world and for sure there are a ton of recipes out there. And this recipe had been loved by our taste buds :)

Choco Crinkle have lots of names depends on what country or area you are from. To some they name this as Choco Crackle Tops or  Chocolate Crinkles as most of us know. Choco Crinkle is a cookie dough rolled in confectioner’s sugar and baked to perfection. I can finish 10 pcs of this in just one seating! Very sinful yet delicious.

Choco Crinkle have lots of names depends on what country or area you are from. To some they name this as Choco Crackle Tops or Chocolate Crinkles as most of us know. Choco Crinkle is a cookie dough rolled in confectioner's sugar and baked to perfection. I can finish 10 pcs. in just one seating! Very sinful yet it's delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (I usually add extra Cocoa powder about less than 1/4 cup)
  • 1 cup White sugar (You can adjust the sugar to 3/4 cup since we will coat the cookies with confectioner's sugar)
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 4 Medium Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt (I normally use fine salt)
  • 1-2 cup Confectioner's Sugar

Directions

Cocoa Mixture
Step 1
In a medium bowl, mix together cocoa, white sugar, and vegetable oil.
Step 2
Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
Step 3
Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Step 4
Stir into the cocoa mixture.
Step 5
Covr dough, and chill for at least 4 hours or put in the freezer for 30mins.
Step 6
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line Cookie Sheet with parchment paper.
Step 7
Scoop 1 inch dough into the confectioner's sugar then roll into balls. I just use teaspoon to do this.
Step 8
Place into prepared cookie sheeets. Bake in preheated oven for 8mins. Result: chewy, gooey cookies.
Step 9
Enjoy!
