Why I Moved to WordPress Part 1.

It was very easy and user friendly to set up a blog using Blogger. As my blog grows, I realized that I needed to do more and make my design better. Blog design is also important as we know it. It is how you represent yourself and you are creating a first impression to your visitors.

Why I moved to WP Part 1

It had been a very long journey of tweaking, redesigning my header and sidebar, changing the fonts, learning a lot of codes on my own but oh boy, oh boy it was really tough. I spent so many hours understanding the codes and designing took so much of my time. The problem with me, I don’t just settle long with my blog design. Just like our home, I always move things around and see what I can come up with. Well, that’s just me.

Until one day, I realized to just stop and let the expert do it for me. I realized that it will save so much of my time and it will get done within a month or  less. I also realized that I should not waste time on things that I am not good at. I should focus myself on things that I know I am better of doing and thrive more to be the best.

So, I was on the hunt of cheap web designer. Yeah, cheap because I am not earning much from my blog. I went to oDesk, google, just anywhere. Then, I met and was able to interview a web designer. One of my requirement I explained was that I wanted to stay in Blogger. Then, he advised me to use WordPress because of its flexibility but I was really not ready to move. I insist to just stay with Blogger. He charged me double of my budget. His reason was that it will take so much time for him to create the codes. So, I went on my with my search.

As I googled, cheap web designer from our local area, I found a good and cheap local web designing company. Yay! The pricing was just fair and comparatively cheap compared to other web designing company that I searched.

They also advised me to move to WordPress because it is easier to do the design that I want for my blog and the flexibility is endless. After so much thought, I gave in to the idea. I have worked with Danica who is so helpful and always there for me as we moved from blogger to wordpress. It was overwhelming to me at first because it is something new and I know for sure I have to learn a lot.

      Hi Itzybellababy,

Moving to wordpress was an investment for me. I had more flexibility as to the design. It is easier for me to improve the SEO of my blog. There are a lot, I mean a lot to learn in wordpress. Moving also entails a lot of correcting my blog. :)
