Since I changed my country address from Singapore to Philippines, I have to close my existing Google Adsense. I tried re-applying but they rejected my application several times even though I was an existing publisher.
I was so frustrated and sad. I have tried other advertising platform but it turned out not earning any for the first week. I got an email from one of Media.net Account Manager about their ads. I did not realize that I was approved until I read her email.
My Media.net account must have been approved for a long time and I have overlooked their email. I am glad that they follow up on me.
Now, my ads on this site are from Media.net. Goodbye Google Adsense for now. Though, I still love you Google.
The earnings are so far so good just like when I was still in Google Adsense. The earning updates may sometimes take one or few days though.
From what I understand ,correct me if I am wrong, Google Adsense ads earns thru ad impressions (An ad impression is reported whenever an individual ad is displayed on your website) and ad clicks while Media.net earns when somebody click on the ads.
For example: My Media.net report earnings on Feb. 17, I had over a thousand impression BUT I did not earn any revenue.
I will be closely monitoring my earnings and I’ll update you after a month if its really worth your time and ad placements in your blog.
If you are like me whom Google adsense kept on rejecting, trying media.net could be your luck. Some have success stories in using Media.net, who knows we could add to that statistics
There are a lot of consideration before media.net will approve your application. As far as I know, these are some of the things they are going to check:
- good amount of traffic
- have quite a number of published post
- easy website navigation,
- good looking site
- how long you have been blogging
Have you tried Media.net? How was your earnings? Do you have other tried and tested advertising platform? Let us know in the comments. We’d love to know them.
