Do you want to make money while staying at home? I do and I bet you do too. You are not going to be a millionaire overnight. Let me tell you, “There is no such thing” unless you won the lotteryYou’ve got to invest time, effort and money.

How to Make Money While Staying at Home

The list below is in ramdom order. These ideas may not be applicable in your country or area.

1. Carenderia (Eatery)

We all eat. We love food. If your house is located near school, offices, or businesses this is a great source of income. I heard a lot of success stories about doing this kind of business.

2. Loading Station

This doesn’t need big capital and effort. You just need a mobile phone with 3 sim slots and cash load. You can start with P1,000.00 each sim card. Find a distributor of retailer load sim cards – Globe/TM, Smart and Sun. The prices of the sim cards varies from distributor to distributor. If you can find a distributor near your home that would be better because it is convenient to go for a reload.  Ask around first before buying to get a good deal.

3. Sari-Sari / Convenient Store

Sell anything like groceries, soft drinks, vegetables and just anything you think your customers would buy.

4. Water

If you have space, then maybe a water refilling station. If not then you can distribute water in your neighbourhood. Some refilling stations have free delivery.

There’s piso-piso water station also where you can place it outside your sari-sari store or home.

5. Sell Ice candy, Ice pop, Paddle pop, Ice cream on a cup and the like.

If you have a big freezer sell these frozen sweet treats. Kids just love them and they will surely keep on coming back.

6. Computer Arcade

Not all household in the Philippines have internet access and computers. Providing Computer Arcade with 1 and 5 peso token slots is very affordable and convenient as well.

7. Rice “Bugasan”

Filipinos love rice. We eat rice 3 times a day and sometimes during merienda time.

8. Baked goodies

If you love to bake then start offering baked goods like cakes, cookies, brownies etc.

9. Sell your skills/ services

Offer services that you are good at. Like if you’re a trained beautician, therapist, Nanny, hairdresser, IT savvy, technician, etc.

10. Fashionable items

Sell clothes, shoes, accessories, jewelleries and bags.  You may want to offer delivery options for customers outside your area.

You can promote your business online to really help you get the word out. There are free online ads that you can use including Facebook.

I just want to let you know that some of these businesses like refilling station may require business permits. I honestly cannot give you an advice on this area, please ask the professionals.

Earnings will vary according to location, human traffic and customer reach.
