I cannot take this anymore. This need to be fix. Some of my friends thought I am this kind of organized gal, but actually it is a constant battle for me especially we have kids around. I would normally say that I am not. There are times too that I just let the mess go around for days like this one. I hate looking at it. Using wall as extra clothing storage is a sneaky way of utilizing your bedroom space. But it should not look like this one.
The photo above was an accumulation of clothes for a few days. Some of these clothes have to be sorted and put away. In front of this is the wardrobe, just imagine how small the space in between.
I took all the plastic hooks. Installed a shelf. Under it I attached a clothes rack. Good thing I have Ikea over the door hooks which I used to hang my pants. I got it on sale, awesome! The wall behind was made of plywood, obviously, I cannot put so much weight on the shelf and rack. I have to be always mindful of this fact. (hhmm, that rhymes)
I attached 3 brackets at the bottom and 2 on top to make sure that it is stable. I only installed short clothes rack for two reasons. First, to give room for the wardrobe door to open fully. Second, I cannot put so much weight on to it.
On top of the shelf, I put this art which is currently shouting at me to have it framed. This is a wedding gift. The lamp was from Mother-in-law which I painted white. Originally, this was blue and I think white looks better.
I retain the hooks at the bottom for my short pants. Ahhh! This looks way better than before. Do you agree?!
Happiness to the infinity and beyond! haha. I feel relax and happy every time I see this part of our room.
