Hi everyone, Yes, I can finally tour you around the house. Let’s start with the garage. Since the garage is not that big, the only cars that can park inside is a size that of a Picanto/ Wigo/ Jazz and the like.
This is the garage before:
Trash was inside but now it is located outside the house. We bought a huge plastic container that can fit almost a week of trash. Unfortunately, the garbage truck comes only once a week. If lucky enough they will collect twice a week.
This is the main door and that small window is the powder room. We have 2 gray mats both different sizes. We have these plastic shelf organizer for the slippers/shoes. Before these were placed at the opposite wall.
Maybe looking at below photo you can gauge how small the garage is. Our compound road space is small too. All the cars are parked outside of each units. Just imagine, if the cars from interior units would like to get out of the compound, the cars nearer to the gate have to get out before the car from interior units can get out. It is very inconvenient and at some point annoying but there’s nothing we can do. We have small space and we have to live with it. You know the saying “give and take”?
Because our garage is not inviting, we have to do something as this is now an extension of our living room. It is also said in Feng Shui that the entrance to your house must be inviting to attract positive energy. We want positive energy thus the update.
This is the garage now…
I stenciled the wall with Sophia Trellis Pattern. You may check my previous post about this here. Then I bought additional shoe cabinets to organize the shoes. On top of it I added some decors. The white bench is foldable . It’s a gift from Aunt-in-Law (Thank you Te Baby). Those round foldable chairs are from my in-laws that they lend to us (Thank you Nanay/Tatay).
These stripes laminated board are from Ikea. It is actually a kitchen accessory that you put near your gas burner’s wall. I had these when we were still in Singapore. But these 2 looks amazing here. It adds color to the white walls.
I hate slippers lying at the door so I transferred these plastic shelf organizer from the opposite wall. All slippers should be put here before going inside and shoes to the shoe cabinets, that’s a rule Easy to go in and out, no more slippers/shoes at the door.
Then lastly, I found an old tire from the trash and made it into a Tic-Tac-Toe board game coffee table. I saved some chaching! I also love playing this game with little girl, so much fun!
I think I have toured you around the garage. Let me see, I think the next house tour will be the living room in the succeeding post. Stay tuned in but before I let you go, you might want to check my other projects which you can find below at the related posts. I hope you’ll stick around a little bit longer.
Talk to you again.
