I have shared my very first Pizza dough easy recipe here last 2013 but this time I tweaked it a little. I love it even more. This dough is soft in the inside but crispy on the outside. You can always choose the thickness of your pizza dough.
We like thin crust. My kids were so happy to see me making pizza. They like cheese pizza. Just cheese on top.
In the video, the toppings that I used were the only available in the pantry but it still turned out good. What I really like about this recipe is that it is not oily.
- 2 cups All Purpose Flour
- 1 cup Bread Flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoons Yeast
- 1 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup Olive Oil or Vegetable Oil
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 6 teaspoons Sugar (3 tsp will be used to activate the yeast)
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 3/4 cups all purpose flour for dusting
Heat water until luke warm to the touch. Add sugar and salt. Mix until dissolved.
Add yeast and mix. Let it activate for 15-30 minutes or until frothy bubbles appears.
Combine all purpose flour, bread flour, baking powder and sugar. Mix well.
Add oil and yeast mixture. Mix until dough is formed.
Don't worry if the dough is too sticky. Knead using a spatula or your hand until dough is fine and elastic. About 10 mins of kneading then cover with cling wrap.
Let it rise for 2 hours or until doubled in size.
Coat your hands with flour before getting the dough from the bowl so it won't stick to your fingers. Sprinkle some flour on a clean surface. Start kneading for 3-5 minutes. and gradually add about 1/2 - 3/4 cup flour into the dough just until it is not too sticky.
If you want a thin crust, divide dough in to two. Flatten and form dough in to round or rectangular shape. Also, if you like your dough to be crispy, pre-cook it in the oven for 10 mins @200C.
Add your favorite sauce and toppings. Bake it for 10 minutes at 200C.
Serve hot and enjoy!
