Hi Friends, today, I will be sharing the black and white garage cabinet that we’ve been working on for the past few weeks. It is now finish and we are happy of the outcome.

We decided to have a better storage system for the kid’s school bags and other stuff that we have. For one, we are already fed up with what’s happening in our living room. Our sofa was turned into a bag dumping area. Not to mention toys on it too. As home executive aka Mom, it is my goal to create a functional home for the family. It’s high time to create more and better storage of our things that has been laying around everywhere. Just by looking at these clutter, creates a feeling of burden on our back. Do you feel the same too? We still prefer to see a sofa where we can easily lounge and relax. I cannot remember where I read an article where it says “there should be a place for everything including clutter”. Organizing is a constant battle for me and I am pretty sure most Moms out there feel the same way.

We decided to make a cabinet that has seating capacity, place for our slippers and shoes, bag and bulky item storage and more.  This is our garage before…

then it became like this. You may read my previous post here.

Garage Update 2

Works in progress…

And the final cabinet was pleasing to our eyes.

Garage cabinet black and white Before and After

We re-used our existing 3/4 marine plywood that we used before in our playpen aka family bed. I asked a local carpenter and painter to do all the job because I do not have the time and knowledge. Since it is dusty outside, there should be door covers and painted it semi-gloss paint for easy clean up.  We painted it black and white which is the theme of the house. It looks great on a yellow stenciled wall. What do you think?

Sharing to you these lovely mudrooms that inspired me in designing this project.

Please watch my video below for a quick tour of this cabinet.

Thank you so much for watching. Please do share with friends and add this to your inspiration board. Save (PIN) it.

Thank you. hahaha that’s one thing that I’m working on. It’s just an effort for them to put things in the right organizers even when it’s already provided and within their reach. Sometimes, I couldn’t blame them as I was also like that when I was their age ;D Thanks for stopping by ;)

Gorgeous! I love the color, is it a wallpaper? Looking forward to seeing more of your home improvements. You got style by the way. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Macs, Sorry for this late response as life behind the scene is quite hectic. I used a Moroccan stencil for the wall. Thanks for the nice words. I really appreciate it.
